Howmet Aerospace is hiring a Reliability Engineer for our Research and Development Center.  You will plan, formulate, design, and administer various engineered projects and programs related to traditional manufacturing facilities infrastructure and production equipment.  Determine new production equipment or modifications to existing equipment.  Work with suppliers and contractors on procurement of production equipment and infrastructure support.  You will also work with production plants and personnel across the business.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyze equipment failure data and drive repairs to root cause.
  • Conduct asset FMEA’s
  • Develop and assist implementation of new proactive maintenance procedures.
  • Review equipment OEE to identify opportunities for improvement.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with an equipment focus.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems in a diverse industrial environment.
  • Travel would be required up to 50% of the time, primarily domestically, with some infrequent international travel.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
