|Position Description||Responsible for writing grant/technical/proposals assigned by the Administration and Faculty. These proposals, requesting contributions, are submitted to individuals, corporations, foundations, and governmental entities. Responsibilities include assignments from, as well as, coordinating the efforts of faculty and staff to produce high-quality grant proposals.|
|Major/Essential Functions|| |
The successful candidate will be responsible for both aiding faculty in drafting of proposal content (e.g., research plan, project narrative) as well as written required elements of proposals (e.g., data management plan, budget justification). This individual will participate, under the direction of the Associate Dean for Research, with developing College-level research strategy to encourage broad pursuit of extramural funding by COHS researchers and their collaborators.
The successful candidate will also participate, under the direction of the Associate Dean for Research, with COHS faculty, the COHS Research Office, and the Office of the Vice President for Research to establish benchmarks for research success. The position will be jointly evaluated by the College and the Office of the Vice President for Research after two years for consideration of continued funding.
The COHS has 88 tenure/tenure-track and research faculty across six academic departments:
|Required Qualifications||Bachelor's degree in English, journalism or related field. Six years experience in proposal/technical writing. Education and experience can exchange on a year-for-year basis.|
