Nursing Assistant - Surgical Unit (Per Diem-Varied)

Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Participates in the patient/family care and experience through teamwork, effective communication, and skills under the direction of an RN.

 

Principal Accountabilities

Community- Promotes a positive relationship between Sutter Health and the community.

Quality-Provides optimal care to patients' and family which is collaborative, evidence based and meets

Service - Cares for patient/family according to the Sutter Difference standards and activities ensuring the best

patient/family experience.

Qualification:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS\:

 

Education/ including Licensure/ Certification/ Registration\:

Must have a current American Heart Association BLS-HCPC or Greater Sacramento Region-Healthcare CPR recognition certification. High School Graduate or GED. Certified Nurse Assistant Certification from the State of California is preferred.

 

Knowledge\:

Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy preferred. 

 

Experience\:

Certified Nurse Assistant Certification from the State of California ia is preferred.

Experience as a nurse assistant in acute care facility or recent extended care experience preferred.

 

Skills\:

Under the direction of RN, prioritizes and manages multiple demands in an ever changing environment. Ability to write legibly, spell correctly and perform basic mathematics.  Good interpersonal skills and communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy preferred.
