The Oracle Business Systems Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, developing current and future process definitions and performing project and change management activities. In addition to these activities, this role will require a foundational understanding of an Oracle R12 application environment, as they will be doing the configuration and testing of the solutions along with the production support of the system.

The position requires a strong communicator and an individual with a team oriented approach. The successful candidate will possess the ability to interact and effectively communicate with internal customers, local and remote teams, technical support teams and quality assurance teams.
This position will report to an Oracle Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business users in understanding business process needs.
  • Develop the system requirements based on the business process needs.
  • Develop business strategies to successfully plan and execute Oracle projects.
  • Assist in project design, development, testing and implementation activities.
  • Provide functional/technical support for Oracle E-Business Suite enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Identify business gaps and inconsistencies and accordingly develop action plans.
  • Work with other IT teams to integrate Oracle with key applications.
  • Open and follow-up on service support tickets with Oracle support.
  • Well versed on MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle with the following modules (Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Service Contracts, General Ledger, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, Projects).
  • Work with eBtax a plus.
  • Focus will be on the Accounts Receivable and Service Contracts modules.
  • Have worked in an Oracle R12 environment.
  • Proficient in understanding the application design, configuration / module setup and documentation of functional documents.
  • Strong communication and management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and assist with support.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and participation in multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and collaborate with a variety of individuals to achieve business results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of flex fields, workflow, setup and profile options.
  • Understanding of multi-organization and multi-currency functionality.
  • Understanding of Oracle Workflow.
  • Working knowledge of query tools (PL/SQL, Toad, SQL Plus)
