Production Scheduler Interline Brands

POSITION PURPOSE
Create the plans and schedules for the Aberdeen manufacturing location to meet or exceed customer expectations for service across all product offerings. Plans and schedules should effectively use the resources, people and equipment of the operation to avoid overtime, waste, and support the group effort to meet the financial and operating objectives of the location.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

35% Manage production scheduling
35% Manage Bill of Materials and Purchasing of Raw materials
30% Work with location leadership team to coordinate activity flow and process improvement

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent experience in production scheduling in a manufacturing plant

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements:
Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
Ability to set and communicate priorities for MFG activities and create plans and schedules which make cost effective use of all resources
Five years; experience scheduling a similar operation or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Exceptional communications skills which will assure consistent effective communication with team members to include hourly staff, site management, senior management, Human Resources and customer support staff.
Ability to provide an open setting and an atmosphere of inclusiveness and support which will encourage all team members to contribute to their maximum potential.
