In any job role there are constant disruptions such as meetings, breakdowns, special requests, and more. Managing time in the workplace to accomplish everything you that's asked can seem impossible. Before the situation gets too stressful, you should take a step back and plan some ways to get the most done in the time you have. Here are some ways to maintain focus and meet your quotas.


Understand Your Responsibilities


Knowing exactly what's expected from you can help you to avoid wasted time and effort. Be alert for issues that should really be passed up the chain of command or could be safely delegated to subordinates. Whenever there's any doubt or confusion about what to pass along, get clarification on everyone's roles and limitations and identify the possible risks and rewards of taking on extra work. Plan out your next day every evening. Do it several days in advance if possible.
