The Admission Recruiter engages prospective students from initial inquiry through the admission and matriculation process. This position is primarily responsible for providing program and admission information to and maintaining regular correspondence with prospective students via telephone, email, and hand-written letters. This position may be required to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends. The Admission Recruiter will also be required to enter data into University/Rowan Global Information Systems. This position reports to the Director of Admission & Enrollment Management.


   Respond to requests for information submitted by web-based forms or email and field incoming calls and visits from prospective students

   Field and assist applicants with questions regarding the application process

   Conduct out-bound calls to prospective students and applicants as part of communications plans and campaigns; works closely with Admission & Enrollment Counselors during scheduled call campaigns

   Accurately update prospect/applicant records in CRM to capture student status and interactions

   Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all Rowan Global academic programs

   Maintain current academic program(s) information including FAQ scripts as well as other pertinent information regarding academic programs and the admissions process

   Attend and assist in the coordination of Rowan Global information session and events; may also attend off-site recruitment events

   Other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, counseling, guidance or related area
  • One year professional experience in marketing/sales, communication, counseling, higher education or related area
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to clearly convey information in person and over the phone
  • Skill in writing clear, concise, grammatically and factually correct correspondence, memos and e-mails
  • Ability to work independently under pressure
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, with a customer-focused attitude
  • Strong computer skills including experience with web-based applications.

  • Experience working with the adult student population
  • Knowledge of curriculum program offerings and admissions policies
