American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business. To maintain this success, the organization must accelerate sales and drive profitable charge volume growth. The Global Sales Enablement, Pricing & Transformation (SPT) team within GCS is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives. The Analyst - Learning Management System (LMS) offers you the opportunity to be part of this multifaceted organization and help GCS navigate towards growth.

Within this position, the Analyst is responsible for evolving LMS strategies based on business learning needs and platform performance metrics, as well as researching industry trends and leveraging best practices. The successful candidate will be a thought leader who will manage, maintain, and optimize the LMS to ensure effective learning experiences and will partner closely across Learning & Development (L&D) teams to provide the day-to-day support of the LMS. This role will modify and update content to improve training programs and curriculums and provide an outstanding learner experience.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Coordinate across US Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) L&D Trainers and Instructional Designers (IDs) the creation, uploading, and organization of learning materials and curriculums (instructional designers own creation of training content; trainers own learning paths and training assignment)
  • In collaboration with US SME Training leverage LMS platform and key business performance metrics to quantify the effectiveness and value of training curriculum and programs
  • Evolve training and development to:
    • Ensure alignment with business goals and focus on learner-centered design
    • Utilize interactive elements and certification to provide an elevated learning experience that promotes knowledge retention, and colleague confidence and competence
    • Develop and maintain a new hire Gradebook for each channel
  • Update LMS-related SOPs, eLearning Standards, and calendar of activities in LMS; other LMS admin functions (e.g., help with creation and maintenance of groups in the LMS)
  • Become subject matter expert across specific LMS platform components; keep Training teams and IDs updated on platform improvements

Qualifications:

  • Experience organizing, uploading, and leading training content within LMS OR strong understanding of LMS platforms, database management, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient performance
  • Ability to lead projects, meet deadlines, excel in a fast paced, multi-team environment with constantly evolving business demands
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to interpret learning metrics to generate insights and improve training content and programs
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with proven track record to effectively collaborate, partner, and consult with senior leaders, internal business partners, external vendors, and colleagues to uncover insights and build consensus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well independently with ability to efficiently problem solve
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and demonstrates a willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of eLearning standards like SCORM or xAPI
  • Familiarity with eLearning tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Vyonnd

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
