Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) brings together American Express' merchant-and network-related businesses to enable a sharp focus on using the power of our network to provide unique value to all of our mutual customers. The organization manages the relationships with the millions of merchants around the world that accept American Express and runs the company’s payment network and manages bank partnerships globally. The Global Strategy & Capabilities (GS&C) group sits within GMNS. GS&C’s mission is to become essential to merchants and partners globally by delivering an easy, frictionless, value-added experience that enables them to meet their goals and serve their customers. GS&C consists of a diverse set of teams that support the GMNS business. GS&C is looking for an Analyst, Merchant Onboarding & KYC (Know Your Customer), focused on ensuring efficient and compliant merchant onboarding programs around the world. This role will focus on designing reporting oversight for the merchant onboarding framework and KYC processes, as well as delivering ongoing analytic support for these programs. The role involves extensive monitoring and creation of an Onboarding and KYC scorecard for ensuring efficient and compliant program management for the merchant business.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Support the creation and revision of reporting for merchant onboarding, ensuring we effectively manage KYC risk and comply with evolving regulations and industry standards
- Deliver the maintenance, implementation and continual updating of the merchant onboarding scorecard and associated documentation.
- Assist in gathering materials and managing agendas for forums updating leaders for onboarding performance and KYC maintenance.
- Support the performance of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Process Risk Self Assessments (PRSAs)
- Advising and supporting Client Managers (CLMs) on tactical reporting issues
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Excellent qualitative analytical skills
- Knowledge of programming tools like SQL/Python and Data visualization technique like Tableau will be an added advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field preferred; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
