Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.
Enterprise Data Sharing Solutions (EDSS) is part of the Enterprise Data Governance, Digital & Data Platforms (EDGP) organization, which sits within Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS).EDSS improves Amex data privacy & data sharing through the implementation of modern data sharing capabilities and strategies that enable faster speed to market while enhancing safe sharing connections.To support the roll-out of our evolving digital capabilities, we are embarking on an exciting and transformational journey to define and govern our Web ecosystem at American Express.
The Analyst, Product Management – Data Privacy will focus on delivering the capabilities to enable and evidence AXP’s compliance with the processing of personal data in accordance with global privacy regulations.Specifically, this role will be responsible for managing the product backlog and prioritizing features based on business needs and customer feedback to enable delivery of the Records of Processing (ROPA) tooling roadmap through partnership with lines of business, product and engineering teams and second line partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with the engineering and business unit stakeholders to identify business needs and execute on improvements to the ROPA platform
- Document and manage ROPA product backlog by writing user stories and features
- Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders and partners to ensure risk mitigation and regulatory compliance by driving the timely delivery of ROPA platform updates
- Summarize complex business requirements and technical concepts into digestible user stories and process flows for a wide variety of audiences
Qualification Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in product management
- Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to summarize technical material in a clear, logical, and structured manner
- Ability to understand and communicate complex business requirements and translate them into technical requirements via. feature and user story writing
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Rally
- Knowledge of privacy regulations like GDPR preferred but not required
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
