Requirement Summary

Our Advanced Technologies group is seeking an experienced knowledgeable hands-on R&D Engineer to be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on projects that span a wide range of research areas. The work will vary and encompass commercial, military, or medical technology projects. Innovation and technical problem solving will be a major part of your position along with the ability to work productively with a diverse team of researchers.

Responsibilities

• Self-starter with the ability to recognize and creatively solve complex problems
• Performing experiments in an independent & inventive manner
• Documenting project progress
• Design and invent parts of new inventions to take them to commercializable prototypes.

Desired qualifications would include some of the following

• Interest physics, electro-mechanical engineering and acoustics.
• Engineering knowledge at the post-masters level, or 10 yrs. experience.
• Skilled in hands on experimental and prototype fabrication ability (light hand-machining, soldering, CAD skills)
• Experience with Matlab, including in data acquisition and analysis.
• Good writing skills

Education/Experience

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Acoustics, or Biomedical Engineering or closely related engineering field. PhD degree is a plus.
• 5+ years experience working in product design and prototype fabrication and testing is desired.
