Job Summary -This position is primarily responsible for providing support for HLC PLC systems, HMI’s and robotic control systems.

Essential Functions



Key emphasis on maintaining and improving reliability and productivity of robotic/automated systems.


Providing specialized technical expertise in the application and use of material handling, control, and automation technology for plant facilities and processes.


Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).


Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.


Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.


Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to:  EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the LaPorte Employee Guidebook.

Basic Qualifications



High School diploma or GED required


Associate degree in a technical discipline or related field experience is required


Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not

available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications



1 – 3 years’ experience, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing environment.


Robotic experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities



Proficiency in varying control and automation programs including Rockwell Automation or similar control and automation software.


Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook.



Ability to integrate new devices into legacy systems.


Good verbal and written communication skills.


Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems in a diverse industrial environment.


Strong electrical/controls aptitude.


Familiarity with a wide variety of facility infrastructure systems.


Ability to rapidly grasp concepts and understand processes.


Ability to multi-task.


Ability to prioritize work assignments.
