Job Summary
Reporting to the Dean of Students, this position will assist the Dean in coordinating all facets of student leadership and engagement within the Dean of Students Office. The Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement will create, implement and sustain a strong student leadership curriculum to enhance the student experience in over 500 student organizations, student leadership positions throughout campus, and student employment with the Dean of Students office. In addition, the Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement would establish strong relationships with key stakeholders such as org advisors, college advisors, housecorp, and national/ corporate advisors. , etc. This position will also maintain a visible presence on campus and actively create and develop student life events, support student-driven clubs, and organizations, and advocate for student leaders and clubs.
Furthermore, the Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement will be responsible for evaluating and assessing student leadership and engagement on campus. Overall, the Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement would essentially have oversight for the Office of Student Organizations and Activities and Fraternity and Sorority Life. Combined, both offices have over 500+ organizations and Supervision for over 20 full-time staff members.
Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Knowledge of Judicial Processes and Student Discipline, Administration of Multiple Student Services.

Preferred Education/Experience
Doctorate in Higher Education, Student Affairs or related field and 10+ years of experience.
