Description:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Services Supervisor and/or Physician, the Clinical Research Coordinator provides support and assistance for the Research and Education Institute's clinical trials. This individual works with staff in the implementation of all research studies; gathers and transcribes data onto case report forms; maintains regulatory paperwork; Preserves investigational product, laboratory supplies and other study related items; maintains data base records and reports as needed.
Qualification:
Education\: Bachelor's degree with a major in biological or life science or equivalent experience in a related field required.
Experience\: Minimum 1 year clinical research experience and a minimum of 6 months recent experience in patient care setting required. Candidates presenting with 5+ years of recent patient care experience combined with strong administrative skill set in lieu of the required clinical research experience may be considered.
Knowledge\: Medical terminology and knowledge required; Computer and clerical skills required; excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, are required. Citi Training, and IATA Certification (lab specimen handling) if not present at hire, must be obtained within 3 months of hire, vital signs and ECG experience preferred. Working knowledge of Federal, State and local research regulations and guidelines, including knowledge of IRB practices and guidelines required.
