Key Duties & Responsibilities+311

The Clinical Supervisor is expected to perform position-related duties that include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with providers to supervise daily patient care activities; manage clinical staff schedules to ensure full coverage of patient care needs, effective patient services and time efficiency.
  • Fulfill environmental responsibilities and provide oversight as assigned, including setting up instruments for office procedures, cleaning exam rooms, instruments and equipment, and following OSHA Guidelines for medical practice.
  • On-board and train new clinical team members on their duties including philosophy of care, patient flow, and clinical competencies
  • Provide encouragement and recognition; foster a positive team-based culture, identify issues, work through resolutions, and provide both formal and informal feedback.
  • Collaborate with leadership to manage performance of the clinical team/associates including annual review, goal setting, corrective action, PIP and termination.
  • Ensure daily and weekly duties are completed as assigned, including responding to patient messages and treatment progresses.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance with operational standards.
  • Develop, optimize and support workflows and processes for DME inventory and distribution.
  • Participate in program development and implementation of operating policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Front Office Supervisor to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient experience.
  • Anticipate potential challenges or issues with daily clinic flow and adjust accordingly.
  • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies and supervise inventory of supplies including periodically reviewing exam rooms to ensure they are stocked appropriately.
  • Serve as a resource on behalf of management and other medical personnel by handling questions and interpersonal conflict resolution in a positive and objective manner.
  • Collaborate with team members, peers, and others to identify, plan, and execute clinical workflow improvement plans including EHR optimization
  • Report to Director of Operations at structured, designated times and as needed to review complications, questions and/or concerns.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all records.
  • Fulfill other organizational responsibilities as assigned, including general clinical responsibilities; respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with the leadership team quickly.
  • Follow all policies as introduced during new associate On-Boarding, updated real-time and outlined in Associate Handbook

Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Registration, LPN, CNA, or AART required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum 2-3 years healthcare experience, prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Orthopedics experience preferred
  • Must possess understanding of all medical terminology including, but not limited to medications, surgical procedures and diseases.
  • EMR experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills are necessary
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication
  • Willingness and ability to be flexible, working varied hours, stepping in as a working leader as needed, and dependable with attendance

Work may be performed in an office and clinical environment. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is required to sit for long periods of time, stand and walk, bend and stretch. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. May requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
