PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Consultant in the C3 Practice at SullivanCotter, you will enthusiastically:
- Conduct compensation analyses and position benchmarking for executives and/or staff, design and assist in evaluating total compensation programs.
- Assist with managing complex projects within established budgets and regularly monitoring the success of the client experience.
- Draft prospective client proposals, comprehensive work plans, presentations and reports to address client needs.
- Assist in the development of junior associates, and review their work for technical accuracy, quality, completeness and timeliness.
- Develop subject matter expertise, proactively sharing knowledge, use of tools, processes and methodologies established by the firm and effectively guiding junior associates in more complex research, data collection and analytics.
- Participate in team productivity by prioritizing work and demonstrating effective delegation of project tasks, as appropriate, to analysts and senior analysts based on skill sets, efficiency, available time and project deadlines.
- Work to keep the client relationship manager apprised of project status, including delays or potential problems, holding yourself and team members accountable for client deadlines and deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings and anticipating client needs and questions.
- Develop and implement tools, work product templates, processes and methodologies that will improve productivity and quality.
- Actively participate in workflow and client delivery meetings with a spirit of collaboration.
- Assist and lead special projects in pursuit of practice development and growth.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
We find people who generally fit this profile have a high degree of success in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Five or more years of either executive and/or staff compensation consulting experience or seven years or more of related compensation analytical experience, involving data evaluation, financial modeling and presentation design.
- Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Passion serving organizations making the world a better place; past experience working with these clients is a plus.
- Proficient skills in problem solving and critical thinking, including the ability to:
- Recognize patterns in complex sets of data and develop practical models.
- Analyze and interpret data using basic and advanced modeling techniques.
- Anticipate challenges, identify alternate solutions, and drive the removal of obstacles impeding project/team progress.
- Excellent people and articulation skills, including the ability to:
- Foster an open and effective channel of communication with clients and across teams and provide constructive feedback that helps junior associates develop skills and experiences.
- Effectively present facts, analysis, and conclusions/solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content; factors in perspectives and interests of the audience.
- Write concise project communications, documents, and presentations with appropriate level of technical detail and complexity.
- Excellent project management, organizational skills, and ability to manage and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced and priority-changing environment.

Below is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, academic achievements, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$91,400 - $137,000 annually
