Job DescriptionPURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Coordinator III, Financial Aid supports the daily business operations of the Financial Aid department at various locations, as well as provides administrative assistance as needed. Under direct supervision, position is responsible for multiple unique duties and projects, from planning to implementation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Manages assigned location budgets, as well as auditing and monitoring multiple department budgets within the assigned location. Involves analyzing data, performing research, preparing reports, and resolving and/or offering recommendations for resolutions to budget issues
2. Manages and serves as liaison for Financial Aid business operations and department human resource functions
3. Works closely with the department for the coordination of various accounting activities including payment of invoices, initiating contracts, requisitions, purchase orders and research and reconciliation ofaccounts
4. Conducts research, collects data, and creates a variety of reports, presentations, correspondences,andcommunications(includinghardcopyanddigitaldocuments)
5. Sends reports and correspondences on behalf of the Financial Aid department
6. Acts a Subject Matter Expert within Financial Aid business operations; may provide training, guidance, and oversight of staff andworkflows
7. Acts as liaison for assigned location Employees and Business Partners with the Financial Aid department; works closely with internal and externalconstituents
8. Coordinates,plans,implements,andparticipatesinmultipleprojects,events,conferences, etc.
9. Responsible for other reasonable related duties asassigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS:
· Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
· Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
· Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education

Hiring salary range is $48,152 - $55,375
Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
