ABOUT YOU

As a client-facing team member, you’ll bring your capabilities and expertise (including problem solving, hypothesis driven data analysis & visualization, business scenario modeling) to help our clients identify the root cause and implications of business challenges related to strategy execution, organization design, and workforce optimization. You are comfortable with ambiguous and complex challenges and willing to do what it takes to achieve project goals and bring meaningful value to our clients.

Successful candidates will have experience working at a progressive, fast-paced management consulting firm; exact alignment with our career model will be determined based on depth and relevance of your knowledge and experience. We are looking for someone with 2 to 5 years of consulting experience who can operate comfortably as an individual contributor but has sufficient experience to guide and develop up to two junior resources.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop hypotheses to explain business challenges and develop and manage to completion the analytical plan required to test them
  • Specify enterprise dataset needs to support analyses; prepare data for analysis, assess quality, perform dataset integration as well as complex data analytics
  • Participate fully in internal and client meetings contributing to ideation, problem identification, root cause analysis, and solution development
  • Design, build and run sophisticated models in Excel and other tools to explore different business scenarios that inform client recommendations
  • Visualize and present insights in a clear, accurate, and compelling manner both in charts and in presentations designed to achieve specific client goals
  • Coordinate project work and interactions with client Project Managers and other stakeholders; work with clients and team members to iterate and refine content
  • Guide and develop other team members to help them achieve important outcomes

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • At least two years post graduate (excluding internships) experience working as a business consultant
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Undergraduate degree in a data-driven field (e.g., engineering, data analytics, mathematics, economics)
  • Cross functional or industry specific business acumen
  • Skilled in hypothesis driven analysis including cleaning, processing and presenting data using some combination of Python, Excel and BI solutions
  • Experience scenario planning and building sophisticated models using Excel, ideally

Reflected below is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to academic achievements, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

  • $95,000.00 - $142,600.00 annually

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Hybrid, but willing to join a thriving Chicago Loop office culture at least 3 days per week. Must also be willing to travel up to 10 days per month.
