Fidelity Investments Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) is seeking an accomplished Data Analyst/Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for data analysis, data visualization, providing insights to our stakeholders, and agile product delivery teams. In this role, you will work in partnership with analysts, squad leads, engineers, and architects toward a shared goal to ensure we meet our shared goals of reducing risk across the enterprise

The Team

The ECS Identity and Access Management (IAM) data team builds critical data views and sources that drives critical enterprise controls to reduce risk and operational processes

As a Data Engineer in Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS), you will be responsible for engaging with data source owners and eliciting data that will drive the risk reduction objectives, support access governance applications, strengthen & expansion of coverage of controls and the data processes that underpin them. You will work with engineers, product owners, architects & business partners across our global sites.

Key Responsibilities

The ECS IAM Data Inventory team, will focus on the creation, maintenance and scaling of data ingestion pattern to ensure comprehensive reporting across of thousands of systems to ensure an accurate and timely view on access risk posture. Working with multiple data source owner to identify and aggregate data that will help build these views

The Skills You Bring

  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data models, considering data quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Ability to combine data from multiple sources to tell a story, identify trends and patterns in the data and extract key insights to inform product strategies and decisions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of modeling strategies and concepts (dimensional, relational, unstructured).
  • Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models (3NF) in a relational database environment.
  • Solid understanding of data lineage. Ability to break down and detail the flow of data from source to target and develop data flow diagrams.
  • Experience with scripting languages for data manipulation, querying, and profiling on cloud and on-premise database technologies – PL/SQL, SQL, Unix shell scripting, Python, R.
  • Working understanding of relevant database platforms (e.g., Oracle, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server).
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data modeling concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and work in fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall data strategy.
  • Ability to learn from the data as you engage with business partners, test, research, and analyze so that you have a deep understanding of the “what and why” the data reflects.
  • Able to work independently; comfortable seeking guidance when needed.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
  • Ability to understand and quickly adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with data modeling tools is a plus.
  • Experience working in the Cybersecurity or Risk industry is preferred.

The Expertise we are looking for

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience is required.
  • 8+ years of analyst experience in the form of research, requirements definition, gap analysis, data mining, and data profiling.
  • Demonstrated ability in data analytics, data warehousing, and data visualization.
  • Proven experience in building data visualization dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI.
