Job Summary
This position is key to the successful operation of Procurement Services and will serve as a key working associate in support of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) e-procurement activities, procurement automation, and other technical needs related to institutional purchase of goods and services. This may involve Procurement Services’ e-procurement platform, catalog onboarding, supplier enablement, customer/supplier service, etc.
The successful candidate will provide support for the University’s e-procurement systems with significant focus on operations of the SAP Business Network. Support activities involve assisting and providing support to campus units regarding e-procurement shopping. Provide support to suppliers as it relates to e-procurement transactions and invoice resolution. Conduct and participate in transaction issue diagnoses and resolution. Design, build, and maintain ongoing knowledge management and learning resources. Participate in operation of ancillary systems and applications that support procurement technology. Provide support as needed for other Procurement Automation areas including, but not limited to, vendor onboarding, Amazon Business account, SAP master data, minor desktop support, contracts management, procurement contracting, etc.
In addition to e-procurement support, the successful candidate will perform minor data reporting across both internal and external data sources, support the Procurement Services website, provide support in transactions resolution and clearing, cross-train and provide backup to other team members, etc.
This position will also provide required support for procurement services learning resources, as well as provide direct customer service to departments and University suppliers as it relates to procurement automation or transactions support. S/he will also provide learning/training support for internal Procurement Services employees as it relates to procurement technology. S/he may also participate in general procurement contracting activities in support of division mission. Other duties as assigned.
