Director, CCO Regional Coverage Business Strategy, HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., New York, NY:

Responsible to ensure the support of the successful day to day running of the business. Global responsibilities in addition to supporting their regional heads’ business development, strategic execution, and business management needs and executing our centrally driven programs in-region. Play a key role across several of the Chief Commercial Office (CCO) pillars, including reporting and tracking of business performance, analytics and management information. Support the Head of GB Regional Coverage, Americas and the respective coverage business heads. Supporting GB Regional Coverage by working with the Head of Strategy & Execution to provide timely and insightful business performance data that supports strategy execution. Monitoring and report relevant developments relating to market dynamics, peers, benchmarks to help guide and further refine strategic execution, providing ongoing feedback to the global/regional strategy team. Preparing monthly risk and business performance escalation for Global Banking and regional cross line of business governance forums ensuring consistent messaging. Ensuring effective and globally consistent application of business selection processes, pipeline line management and cross business collaborations (e.g. CAC). Focusing on outcomes that promote a positive client experience, with a particular focus on ease-of-doing-business. Strategic business development and coordination within the Regional Coverage teams, and related functions (Finance, Regulatory Compliance, Financial Crime, HR, Wholesale Risk, etc.) for Global Banking. Proactively engaging with stakeholders across the Banking, WCOO, and Global Functions community in the US, Canada, and Latin America to ensure strong communication and escalation of risk and business issues. Identifying opportunities to increase effectiveness and provide constructive challenge to existing practices. Ensuring embedded behaviors to drive Banking's success under the GB Culture Uplift Framework. Promoting a positive people agenda across Regional Coverage, one that results in a culture and behaviors that embody HSBC’s purpose, values and conduct pillars. Assisting with any other requested projects or initiatives within the CCO organization. Supporting engagement with regulators on behalf of Regional Coverage, in full partnership with Regulatory Compliance and relevant Global Banking & Group colleagues. Responsible for identifying and implementing further areas of impactful change.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, Pay range: $205,101 - $210,000 per year.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or a closely related field and at least 8 years of related work experience. Employer will accept a 3- or 4-year bachelor’s degree.

Must have 5 years of experience in:

·         Corporate Banking industry;

·         Financial industry risk management;

·         Global Banking business;

·         Investment Banking products: Debt Capital Markets, Leverage Finance Acquisition, Equity Capital Market, M&A, Payments, Trade Finance, Credit and Lending, Structured Finance and Data analytics;

·         Compliance;

·         Human Resources: Workforce planning, Organizational design, Recruitment, Training and Performance and Rewards;

·         Resource Management;

·         Operating Plan and forecasting; and

·         Event Planning.
