Basic Purpose:

The Distribution Manager, KeHE & Wholesale is accountable for leading sales strategy and operations for Hain’s distribution business with KeHE and select wholesale partners.  The Distributor manager will play a key leadership role within the Route to Market team with a direct impact on the overall revenue and profit goals of the Hain NA business. This individual is accountable for developing and executing growth strategies with our distribution partners and internal Hain sales team members supporting the full Hain portfolio.

A key aspect of this role includes understanding and executing the trade and brand mix targets for KeHE while growing sales and distribution for Hain. This individual oversees the internal Hain brand/item level forecasting and works closely with the cross-functional Business Teams to ensure excellent communication and service levels. 

This individual is the face of Hain to KeHE and other wholesale distributors. The Distributor Manager leads weekly business team meetings with key broker and distributor contacts to ensure proper alignment on goals and expectations. This individual is responsible for leading sales calls with key Category Managers with KeHE and other wholesale partners and giving regular support to our retail sales team members.

The Distributor Manager is responsible for providing recaps and analytics on sales performance on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly frequency and providing plans for risks and opportunities for KeHE and other responsible wholesalers.  The Distributor Manager is also responsible for supporting our retail, broker, and independent account sales teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Management and Planning:

  • Responsible for delivering fiscal revenue plans of approx. $110mm annually
  • Builds multi-year strategic plans to deliver growth that meets or exceeds targets
  • Develops and manages annual JBPs, developing the joint KPIs and business plans
  • Develop and implement FY business plans
  • Builds trust and rapport with customers across all levels of their organizations

Sales and Account Operations:

  • Ownership of Trade budget supporting KeHE and other wholesale partners.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align resources and priorities to win with KeHE and wholesaler independents. Manages day-to-day business activities like business planning, forecasting, and promotional management
  • Manage the day-to-day broker support team and measure performance against KPIs
  • Increase distribution of priority SKUs and innovation in the KeHE and wholesale independents.  Increase visibility and execution at the store level through effective programs

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of CPG experience with 3-5 years of direct sales experience managing KeHE Distributors
  • Experience working with other wholesalers is a plus.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Entrepreneurial, General Manager mindset
  • Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities, and strong attention to detail
  • Fluency in Excel required as well as strong MS Office skills across Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Sales Forecasting trade planning management experience required
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas
  • Work with minimal supervision and execute for results in a fast-paced environment
  • Cross Functional leadership – Demonstrates ability to work in and lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to think long and short-term at the same time – run the business but keep focused on the long-term agenda
  • Ability to travel periodically as needed to other company offices and customer meetings
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA preferred.
