* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
* In lieu of the degree 8 plus years of Employee Relations and/or Labor Relations experience required.
* 1-3 years human resources experience required.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for providing leadership to the employee relations and equal employment process at AtlantiCare.
This position is responsible for identifying specific behaviors, incidents, and consequences within employee relation and equal employment issues and for making sound recommendations. The Employee Relations Specialist consistently demonstrates knowledge of established policies and procedures and maintains the issue resolution and grievance process. This position also reviews all disciplinary actions and assessment and evaluation tools to identify trends and developmental needs within the divisions.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required; Labor Relations experience preferred. In lieu of the degree 8 plus years of Employee Relations and/or Labor Relations experience required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years human resources experience required.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires occasional walking, stooping standing. Long periods of sitting also required. Works with such equipment as computer, fax machine, copier and printer.
