About the job Job Title:

Endpoint Technician Position Summary: This is an Endpoint Support role. This means that he/she oversees enterprise End User Computing devices providing world class support to our associates.

The Endpoint Technician will be providing our associates with Tier 3 support while also assisting in designing, building, and implementing endpoint configurations including Windows OS, iOS, MacOS and user applications across both virtual and physical desktop environments. In addition, the Endpoint Technician serves as an escalation point for the core end-user endpoint. The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring that all desktops OS and applications are current, reliable, tuned, and accessible in accordance with service level agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform implementation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance within Windows OS, Citrix VDI, iOS and MacOS environments.
• Create software packages via various methods using Tanium for Desktop/Laptop environments. (Experience in SSCM or equivalent deployment tools)
• Assist with Windows desktop OS, Citrix VDI, iOS and MacOS customization of features and enhancements.
• Virtual Desktops (VDI) support.
• MDM Support. (Workspace ONE is a plus)
• Leveraging automation to solution for tedious administration tasks.
• Meet endpoint support and service delivery objective. Evaluates support trends. Create documentation for the Help Desk / Field Service team.
• Assist with the deployment of security patches for the operating system and desktop applications.
• Provide tier three support across the enterprise for issues related to the Windows desktop OS / VDI / iOS / MacOS and applications. Ensure all client requests and operational problems are updated/resolved within a timely manner (Resolve tickets within the SLA)
• Evaluate new products/services and provide effective solutions to meet business and client needs.
• Ability to identify and evaluate desktop OS and application solutions that enhance the End-User experience.
• On-call rotation for high level escalations.

Technical Skills:

• Experience managing and supporting Windows desktop OS, MacOS, managed endpoint administration at scale across an enterprise-sized environment.
• Strong understanding of the Windows Desktop OS architecture, packaging, scripting, and automated deployment tools (Workspace ONE, Tanium, MDT, PowerShell, Etc..), MS Office Suite, Active Directory, Group Policy.
• VDI support experience.
• MDM support experience.
• Strong understanding of the MacOS architecture.
• Experienced managing desktop environments.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional client experience and tier three support.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to change priorities on the fly.
• Adheres to department and IT protocols, procedures, and service level agreements.
• Experience working with application deployment and packaging tools (Tanium, PDQ Deploy, Workspace ONE).
• Knowledge with scripting languages – PowerShell, VBScript, batch files. • Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis skills.
