In this position you will oversee environmental compliance execution support and provide oversight and leadership to meet client need dates using contractor support. The position will address issues and solve problems to advance projects and provide on-time and on budget project delivery while maintaining environmental compliance. In addition, the role is expected to incorporate a company-wide environmental strategy. Responsibilities
- Recommend and implement appropriate actions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, serving as a liaison with external and governmental agencies or internal business partners
- Develop, manage, implement and improve compliance/business processes, standards, procedures, training, and operational plans that advance business strategies with an impact on work group results
- Evaluate and assess environmental risk and collaborates in developing and implementing programs for risk reduction and mitigation
- Conducts comprehensive environmental inspections and self-assessments, maintaining accurate compliance records
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal partners and external agencies to facilitate effective communications and collaboration
- Demonstrates project management skills to oversee and coordinate various environmental initiatives and ensures timely completion
- Maintain detailed records and prepares related reports and studies for submission to regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in environmental and/or related compliance field and/or permitting with a strong emphasis on environmental management system standards and environmental stewardship.
- Posses a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental studies, or management discipline.
- Seven (7) years’ experience in managing or supervising projects in an environmental resource discipline (ex. Biology, wetlands, archaeology, etc.).
- Experience as a subject matter expert in effectively managing business risks, interacting with agencies, and identifying new and existing opportunities to minimize operational impacts
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, cross-functional project teams with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience interfacing with technical and non-technical audiences including peers, clients, and contractors.
- Customer focused to understand and respond appropriately to clients’ business needs (i.e. Field Operations).
- Experience working with construction teams.
- Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Utility industry experience .
- Geographic Information System (GIS) experience.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Rosemead. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time throughtout the SCE service territory.
- Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.

Salary range
- $117,200 - $175,800 per year
