Position Summary:

** This is a temporary role, hybrid in Irvington NY or Remote in the U.S **

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental and Social Data Analyst to drive our carbon accounting, greenhouse gas (GHG) data analytics, and social impact measurement efforts. This role supports the creation of science-based targets for carbon emissions and strategic efforts for supply chain social impact improvement.  Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders is essential.  This role will work 20hrs/wk.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Carbon Accounting and Analytics

• Gather, track and analyze Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions using internal and external databases.

• Quantify supply chain GHG emissions utilizing tools like the Higg product and facility modules.

• Perform data audits, verification checks, and report progress on carbon footprint reduction.

• Benchmark industry best practices to develop emission reduction strategies.

• Provide insights to support energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives.

 Social and Human Rights Data Analysis

• Collect and analyze data on labor practices, human rights risks, and worker insights within the supply chain.

•  Partner with stakeholders to develop metrics for tracking social impact.

Data Management and Reporting

• Aggregate and analyze data for internal reporting and third-party assurance.

• Generate visual and actionable insights using tools like Tableau and Excel.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Advocacy

• Collaborate with supply chain partners to address environmental and social impacts, including waste, water, biodiversity, and human rights.

• Ensure alignment of climate and energy programs with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) values.

PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS AS REQUIRED.

Required Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or social sciences; Master’s preferred.

• Experience: 3+ years in environmental metrics, carbon accounting, or social impact analysis.

• Proficiency in GHG accounting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi), Higg Index tools, and human rights data platforms.

• Strong project management skills,

• Advanced analytical skills with expertise in managing large datasets.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the apparel or textile industry.

• Familiarity with life cycle assessment methodologies and sustainability reporting frameworks.

• Cross-cultural and/or multilingual competency.

• Basic understanding of digital technologies and their application in sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting.

The salary range for this role is $30.00- $40.00/hr.
