Job Description

As an Expeditor at Veolia, you will track and expedite orders once the purchase order is released. Be aware of issues that come up that may delay shipment and try to solve to bring the order back on schedule. Communicate issues and potential issues to the project team. . Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare and execute the expediting plan for the project.
• Issues initial contact email to vendors after PO issuance, listing requirements, expectations and key contacts.
• Produce expediting reports and ensure follow-up on action items
• Issues expediting status / tracking reports on a regular basis to the Project Team.
• Participate in meetings with suppliers
• Provides the interface between Suppliers and the Project Team to ensure that
documentation requirements (signed PO Acknowledgements, Engineering, Procurement,
Manufacturing, Production and/or Fabrication schedules, Bills of Materials and drawings)
that are specified in the purchase order are delivered in accordance with the agreed
schedule.
• Monitor and expedite the timely return of documents from the project team to the supplier
• Participate in project team meetings as required
• Work with Procurement Managers and suppliers to resolve communication breakdowns or issues.
• Maintain positive working relationships with various internal parties such as Project
Managers, Procurement, Engineering, and Document Control.
• Develop and manage vendor relationships
• Make on-site supplier/fabricator visits to ensure on-time delivery while not sacrificing quality objectives
• Works with Supplier and Project Team on a recovery plan if schedule is not being met.
• Ensures the timely issue of suborders by Supplier for raw material and / or major components
• Review Inspection Reports to monitor progress and verify actual status.
• Assists with purchase order closeout and provide input to Supplier performance evaluations.
• May provide backup for other employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned

This role is not directly involved in the procurement process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technical, or Engineering fields (preferred).
  • Experience with Google AODocs and/or IFS software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and process large volumes of information efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive and assertive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with purchasing processes and principles is an advantage.
  • Experience with engineering firms or industrial Equipment (highly preferred)
