As a Facilities and Resource Assistant within the HOPE Center at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. May resolve complicated issues involving customer service and/or researches governing policies, procedures or laws to respond to clients or visitors.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations
- Arrive at destinations on schedule
- Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups
- Interact with clients professionally at all times
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
- Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
- Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date
- Able to lift 25+ pounds
- In charge of Emergency Preparedness exercises.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and completion of 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) at an accredited college or university;
or
One (1) year of experience in a customer service setting communicating information;
or
One (1) year of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 1 (GST120) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent Organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills
- Must have a clean driving record
- Experience in transportation driving
- Communicate effectively with our client and staff, both in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrate in your daily work environment the knowledge of HIPPA
- Ability to work dependently and collaborate with others

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
