Job Summary

  • The custodial worker performs general cleaning of campus facilities for the college. Working collaboratively with the Campus Director, this position works to provide clean and sanitary facilities for students, faculty, staff, and the general public on a daily basis.

    37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. This position will be second shift with work hours of 10am-6pm.

Job Duties:

  • Performs daily cleaning of classrooms and offices such as dusting, trash removal, cleaning windows, vacuuming, etc.

    Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of restrooms.

    Performs daily cleaning for onsite daycare facility.

    Performs minor repairs (i.e. changing light bulbs) and assists maintenance technician when needed.

    Maintains grounds by weeding mulch beds, planting and watering, trash pickup, and snow removal.

    Moves furniture or equipment for events, meetings, and classes.

    Performs floor maintenance such as shampooing carpet, sweeping, moping, stripping, waxing, and buffing.

    Performs painting when needed.

    Maintains standard safety regulations, is responsible for MSDS sheets, and organizes hazardous waste pickup.

    Responsible for ordering custodial/janitorial supplies.

    Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 3 years of related experience, or equivalent.
