Physical Requirements

This position requires intermittently standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing over 50 pounds; performing tasks with repetitive motions; and working at heights above four feet. Also involves some risk of injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; exposure to radiation and/or loud noises; and some job-related travel (less than 10% of time).



Shift

Primarily Monday through Friday day shifts, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. As an exempt-level position, additional hours may be required in order to meet job and departmental business needs.



Job Summary

The successful Field Service Engineer II will deliver support of the end user computing environment for UK Healthcare. Primary duties include tier 2 and 3 incident support; installing and troubleshooting hardware and applications; problem and process analysis. Additionally, this position will provide processes which utilize the capabilities provided by new information technology and provide optimal benefit to the organization in terms of increased efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the UKHC IT process.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Support; MacOS experience; troubleshooting experience on various computing devices including workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, telephones, etc; and clinical device support experience preferred.

Preferred Education/Experience

3-4 years’ experience preferred. Knowledge and skills of a professional area outside health care such as accounting, public relations, information systems, etc. also preferred. Windows 10 certification highly preferred.
