Full-Stack Developer
Fidelity Investments is looking for top full-stack engineer talent that can, via skilled development, drive high user happiness as it relates to the work flow and business process related tools within our product portfolio. This role will play a key part of developing industry standard and best-practice BPMN applications. The role will include a mixture of maintaining a legacy Java platform whilst chipping in to the modernization of the platform applying cloud technologies.

This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT.

The Team

As part of the Advanced Process Solutions division within Fidelity Investments, you will join a Scrum team of 6-8 very hardworking individuals tasked with re-imagining the next generation of Fidelity’s workflow suite of tools – this team will be passionate about full-stack development efforts per supporting a legacy workflow platform– focused on process, reporting, and analytics that tie into broader platform suite. A mixture of back-end, and data skills with some front-end skills will be required for success in this role.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / similar technical field and or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years development experience; Java, JavaScript (Angular preferred), NodeJS, TypeScript and Google Go.
  • Experience with Restful APIs is a plus
  • Ability to write and Performance Tune SQL.

  • Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software – sprint to sprint, release to release
  • Perfection in software development practices and procedures
  • Participates in application level architecture
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software work (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)
  • Responsible for supporting implementation of moderate-scope projects or major initiatives
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project
  • Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures
  • May assist in establishing project plans for projects of moderate scope

Nice to Have Skills

  • 2+ years with AWS and other cloud-based development methodologies / best-practices
  • Experience with enterprise business, financial, BPM, etc. software a major plus
  • Experience with Camunda development helpful
