Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; sitting for extended periods of time with intermittent repetitive motions (such as typing), occasionally standing and/or walking with objects between 10-25lbs; occasional exposure to loud noises, bloodborne/airborne pathogens, and/or extreme temperatures; and intermittent (10%-50%) job related travel (between Chandler & Good Sam Hospitals).



Shift

Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm with occasional weekends/nights per business needs.



Job Summary

The HIM Manager reports to the Enterprise HIM Senior Manager. This position manages the daily processes, workflow and personnel related to birth and death certificates, medical record scanning, scanned chart corrections, and forms management for the UK HealthCare enterprise HIM department. The incumbent ensures that procedures are carried out in a consistent manner throughout the UK HealthCare HIM department within the areas of their responsibility. They are responsible for staff timekeeping, productivity, workflow, quality assurance, performance management and evaluation, hiring, corrective action and other management duties as assigned. The HIM Manager will participate in meetings, projects, conferences, continuing education, budgeting, policy review and cross coverage within the department.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in all Microsoft programs; excellent project planning and organizational skills; strong leadership skills to include the ability to lead and direct others toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); outstanding computer skills (to include, OnBase, EPIC, HDA, KRONOS, Performance management and Position Management; strong ability to engage and motivate others; active listening skills; enjoy working independently as well as in a group; and a thorough understanding of resource and employee management.
