The HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns employee and management goals with the overall business objectives of their region. As a member of the regional leadership team, the HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resource concerns and a champion for employees. This role requires an ability to proactively identify and address HR needs while maintaining open communication with both the Corporate HR department and local region management. The HRBP develops comprehensive solutions by collaborating across HR functions to deliver value-added service that supports the organization's business goals. A successful HRBP maintains a strong understanding of the business unit's financial position, future plans, culture, and competition. Location is Harrisburg PA.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Consultancy and Compliance:
- Provide advice and counsel to both employees and management to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and state regulations.
Recruitment and Talent Development:
- Coordinate with relevant teams to develop job descriptions, post new positions, and conduct interviews.
- Coach hiring managers to improve new hire quality and reduce turnover.
Employee and Labor Relations:
- Handle employee and labor relations issues, including investigations and grievances.
- Manage disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer compensation programs, including the Annual Incentive Program.
- Manage the Performance campaign and communications around bonuses and merit increases.
- Provide guidance on benefits-related issues and facilitate open enrollment.
Succession Planning and Development:
- Collaborate with the Region President and VP of HR to create succession plans for key talent.
- Provide coaching, development, and performance improvement plans to employees and managers.
Policy and Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and internal policies and procedures.
- Review, update, and communicate state policies to relevant staff.
- Manage labor relations and assist with contract negotiations.
Safety and Health:
- Work with EH&S Managers on safety issues and training initiatives.
- Partner in investigations and coordination of Workers Compensation claims.
HR Operations and Training:
- Oversee the new hire process, including onboarding and orientation.
- Coordinate the design and delivery of HR training programs.
- Coach and counsel supervisory staff on HR matters.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years of HR generalist experience, preferably within a unionized environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of PA & DE state employment laws.
- Proficient working knowledge of diverse human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnostics, employee and union relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
- Outstanding administrative, organizational, presentation, and implementation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver superior results.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and perform effectively under pressure.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of labor regulations.
- Ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Ability to consult and influence all staff levels.
- High ethical standards and integrity.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
Physical Requirements:
- This full-time job requires travel to company sites in DE and PA, and to headquarters in Paramus, NJ, approximately 30% of the time.
- Typical work hours are Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional long hours and early/late hours to meet the needs of employees on different shifts.
