We are looking for a part-time (20 hours a week) HR Services Coordinator for a ~12-week temporary assignment. This position will be based out of our Restaurant Support Center in Downers Grove, IL, where we have a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in-office). What You’ll Do:
  • I-9 & E-Verify
    • Provide support to Restaurant Office Administrators through I-9 support email inbox.
    • Follow up with Restaurant Office Administrators to ensure all proper documentation has been uploaded within 24 hours of the deadline.
    • Review open E-Verify cases for active and terminated Team Members to ensure resolution.
    • Oversee reverification process for expiring documents and work authorization.
    • Responsible for the company’s I-9 and E-Verify program through the following:
  • HR Administration
    • Support the labor law poster program by processing orders for local, state, and federal labor law posters; responsible for communication with Restaurants to ensure compliance.
    • Process verifications of employment, wage audits and subpoena requests.
    • Manage Team Member life events gifting program ensuring gifts are ordered in a timely manner.
    • Assist with on-demand and scheduled reporting.
What You’ll Need:
  • Must represent Cooper’s Hawk values.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional Human Resources administration experience.
  • Proficiency in handing I-9 forms and E-Verify cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with proven organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and change gears easily in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General understanding of HR laws as it relates to compliance.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity.
  • Prior experience with HR Information Systems a plus.
  • Restaurant or retail industry experience a plus.
