Pay Range

$87,600.00-$120,500.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.   Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

About Us: Our HR team supports JM's Roofing Division. This position will be located in Scottsboro, AL, with responsibility for 3 locations: Scottsboro, Macon, GA and Jacksonville, FL. What You’ll Do:

  • Be the Employee Champion: Promote a positive environment with an open-door policy, active listening, and engaging with employees on the plant floor.
  • Plan Fun Events: Coordinate community events and employee programs that bring everyone together.
  • Communicate with Flair: Create clear and engaging messages to keep everyone in the loop.
  • Champion Diversity and Inclusion: Ensure everyone feels welcome and valued.
  • Handle Claims with Care: Investigate and respond to harassment, discrimination, and ethics issues fairly and consistently.
  • Coach and Counsel: Provide guidance on employee relations and discipline.
  • Manage HR Processes: Oversee compensation planning, open enrollment, succession planning, and more.
  • Align with Business Goals: Understand and support company, plant, and business unit objectives.
  • Partner with Leadership: Meet all people needs, from staffing and training to safety and communication.
  • Ensure Compliance: Stay on top of state and federal employment regulations and company policies.
  • Lead HR Projects: Deliver results across businesses and geographies.
  • Handle Union Matters (if applicable): Administer collective bargaining agreements and participate in contract negotiations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in HR
  • 1+ year of HR experience in manufacturing or similar environment
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Familiarity with human capital management systems (Workday HCM preferred)
  • Proven ability to influence and manage conflict
  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws
  • Strong investigation, discipline, and change management skills

Travel Requirements:

  • Medium travel with the expectation that each facility is visited under your responsibility once a quarter.
