How will you make an impact in this role?

Infrastructure Operations

  • Operating System and Container/Image patching.
  • Platform Deployment
  • Log Forwarding & resource configurations
  • Certificate Management
  • Alerting & Monitoring
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Role based access control configurations.
  • Kubernetes cluster and virtual hosting support.
  • Kubernetes technology stack deployment.

Leadership

  • Demonstrate increased self-reliance to achieve team goals.
  • Influence colleagues with creative changes and improvements by challenging status quo and demonstrating risk taking.
  • Working with other colleagues within the Application Security organization, supporting various technology deployments.

Minimum Qualifications

Up to 3 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as:

  •       Hands-on experience managing Linux-based infrastructure, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  •       Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (k8s) administration and orchestration.
  •       In-depth knowledge of RHEL system administration (versions 7,8, or later).
  •       Proficiency in Linux scripting (Bash, Python, or other scripting languages).
  •       Experience deploying, managing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud).
  •       Familiarity with Kubernetes resources like pods, deployments, services, secrets, config maps, etc.
  •       Experience with monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  •       Experience creating and managing container images and registries.
  •       Understanding of container networking, security, and storage.
  •       Knowledge in Kubernetes networking (CNI plugins like Calico)
  •       Experience with setting up ingress controllers and service meshes (e.g. Istio).
  •       Experience with Kubernetes storage solutions (persistent volumes, storage classes, dynamic provisioning).
  •       Familiarity with NFS, Ceph, or other distributed storage solutions used in Kubernetes environments.
  •       Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices (RBAC, network policies, pod security policies).
  •       Experience managing container and Kubernetes security (e.g. vulnerability scanning, securing container images).
  •       Understanding of firewalls and securing Linux systems (SELinux, firewallD, iptables)
  •       Proficiency in Kubernetes-compatible CICD tools like Helm and Argo.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKAS, CKAD)
  • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA, RHCE)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud Kubernetes environments (e.g. OpenShift)
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components (ETCD, API server, controllers, schedulers, kubelet, etc).
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS,VPN, Load Balancing)
  • Strong experience with Docker or other container runtimes.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
