Global Card Issuance (GCI) manages service partners that provide card manufacturing, issuance and project support for all proprietary American Express cards globally.  This role concentrates on inventory analysis and management within Strategy, Inventory, & Transformation team.

This role will be responsible for managing inventory items, day-to-day inventory operations, and implementing inventory control protocols, including but not limited to, forecasting, ordering, and monitoring of ~1,000 unique materials (cards & paper stock) for markets within the Americas region. This role will coordinate activities with a variety of internal (ex: Marketing, Brand, and Compliance) and external partners (Card & Print vendors). 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain best in class forecasting models and inventory management processes to support inventory needs.
  • Ensure ongoing optimization of inventory levels to prevent stock outs, prevent destruction, and ensure cards & materials are available when & where they are needed on time.
  • Identifying and implementing solutions designed to standardize transactional and operational processes.
  • Ability to demonstrate an advanced skill level in utilizing reporting/data of various Inventory Management and Business Intelligence tools, to run reports and build basic report queries.
  • Manage and interpret exception reporting for inventory management and reconciliation.
  • Lead and support projects related to strategic initiatives that impact or involve inventory.
  • Partner frequently with multiple organizations including Operations, Capabilities, Compliance, Brand, Marketing, and others to drive results.
  • Close collaboration with suppliers on upcoming forecasts and order plans, as well as supporting ongoing discussions, including but not limited to, project status updates, order tracking, new developments, and issue resolution.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to translate data, information, & analytics into impactful insights & actionable outcomes.
  • Adept at problem solving and quantitative analysis using superior analytical skills and close attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and interact collaboratively.
  • Ability to demonstrate advance skill level in MS Excel, including formulating pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and demonstrated self-starter.
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in forecasting and inventory management is highly desired.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
