The Walton County Health Department is seeking a Vital Records Clerk/Inventory Specialist. The ideal candidate will review a variety of legal documents for validity, authenticity, verification, and completeness of information in order to issue certified vital records. Duties include determine eligibility for receiving certified records, making changes to records, resolving discrepancies in information, coordinating with various government agencies such as courts, law enforcement, hospitals, funeral homes, physicians, the public and others, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Additional duties will be but are not limited to daily counting of vaccines and medications, receiving shipments of medications and vaccines, monthly inventory counts entered into GRITS and EMAR system.
As an Inventory Specialist within the Walton County Health Department at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Job Responsibilities
- Processing and maintaining vital records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Managing inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating the ordering and restocking of medications and supplies.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with established protocols.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to vital records and pharmacy inventory.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma AND Two years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous vital records and bilingual skills preferred.
Annual salary $35,000 plus generous benefits include 13 paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement plans.
