Position Summary:

We are seeking an IT Senior Portfolio Manager to lead our IT Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and drive the successful execution of IT projects.

You will develop project management methodologies and tools to optimize delivery and support business goals. Collaborating with IT leadership and stakeholders, you’ll ensure project portfolios align with strategic objectives with the opportunity to develop full life cycle change management practices over time.

This role will be Hybrid with 2 days in office in Bethlehem, PA

How You’ll Impact Results:

1.    PMO Strategy and Leadership:

·         Develop and implement a comprehensive PMO strategy aligned with the overall IT and business objectives.

·         Build and lead a high-performing PMO capability, fostering a culture of excellence in project management.

·         Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to project managers and project team members.

2.    Project Portfolio Management:

·         Establish and maintain a robust project portfolio management process, including project prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.

·         Provide regular reporting and analysis on project performance, including key metrics and KPIs.

·         Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency.

3.    Methodology and Standards:

·         Define and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and templates.

·         Ensure adherence to project management best practices and industry standards.

·         Provide training and coaching on project management tools and processes.

4.    Resource Management:

·         Optimize resource allocation across projects to maximize utilization and minimize conflicts.

·         Develop resource forecasting and capacity planning models.

·         Implement resource management tools and processes.

5.    Stakeholder Management:

·         Build and maintain strong relationships with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and project teams.

·         Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

·         Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.

6.    Risk Management:

·         Establish and oversee a comprehensive project risk management framework.

·         Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.

·         Develop and execute risk response plans.

7.    Change Management:

·         Lead change management initiatives related to project implementations.

·         Develop change management plans and strategies.

·         Communicate change effectively to stakeholders.

Your Qualifications That Will Ensure Success:

•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required

•Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

•PMP or other relevant project management certifications preferred with the ability to utilize various methods (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)

•Proven change management expertise, preferably with certifications in ADKAR or other relevant change management methods

•Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex IT projects

•Experience in financial management and budgeting for IT projects

•Experience building (or maturing) a business aligned IT PMO

•Ability to communicate, collaborate, influence, and build as a strategic partner at all levels within the business

•A strategic thinker focused on business value results that utilize technical solutions.

•Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage project governance for a positive business partner experience.

•Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes.

•Diplomacy: able to influence and motivate others using personal rather than positional power.

•Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms.

•Highly skilled at creating business requirements documents, use cases, user acceptance test plans, process flow diagrams.
