A DAY IN THE LIFE OF SNOC Engineer II,
A typical day in this role will involve providing support and managing the network for Castle Biosciences. Responsibilities include both SNOC and Technical Analyst support, with a primary focus on network-related tasks. The individual in this role will spend the majority of their time on network responsibilities, including network design, support, and leading related projects. SNOC responsibilities will include offboarding, managing the SNOC queue, and providing security support.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.
- 4+ years of functional enterprise network design, engineering, and operations experience.
- Experience across a variety of security products including, but not limited to, firewalls, network, and host-based intrusion detection (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS), security information event monitoring (SIEM) software, email, and web security gateways, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and data loss prevention.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for HIPAA, PII, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center and the security tools in Microsoft 365.
- Certification and Other Requirements: Valid state-issued driver's license, CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA.
- Actively displays behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.
- Preferred Requirements
- Hands-on experience with complex network systems and familiarity with the latest technologies
- Expertise in network security, disaster recovery planning, and advanced troubleshooting

SCHEDULE
- Monday to Friday, 5 days a week in the office, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, working from our Friendswood, TX office. This is a salaried position, and working beyond standard hours may be required.
