Overview
LMI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to support Facilities and Infrastructure Support Services within the United States Postal Service (USPS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and completing projects from inception to completion, overseeing all aspects, and ensuring timely delivery. This role involves setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress while maintaining open communication with upper management. Candidate must be in National Capital Region.

Responsibilities
You will serve as the functional team lead, as the primary client liaison and the project manager responsible for accomplishing all administrative and managerial aspects of the contract in addition to supporting the clients program involving planning, leasing, purchasing, repairs, and alterations to facilities that house postal operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee all aspects of projects including the coordination and completion of projects.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project.
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
- Be familiar with a variety of the real property field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Provide extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Lead and direct the work of others.
- Exercise creativity and flexibility in problem-solving and project execution.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Occasional travel (CONUS) may be required.
Additional responsibilities as LMI PM include
- Management of complex project ensuring that goals, requirements, and outcomes are defined and that the appropriate resources are allocated.
- Monitor team performance to ensure that project requirements are implemented, supported, and closed accurately and in accordance with key milestones, and that established project standards are upheld and clearly defined throughout the entire project development and execution process.
- Track cost, schedule and performance, as well as prepare documents and develop project specific policy, procedures and report status to all levels.
- Prepare monthly reports and ensure such deliverables are submitted in a timely fashion and of high quality/accuracy. When appropriate, propose a plan to correct any cost variances or projected rate adjustments.
- Foster positive working relationships with team, client personnel and leadership counterparts
- Manage staffing requirements, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and client-site execution.
- Ensure program compliance with government and corporate policies and mandates, and adherence to directives from governing entities.
- As needed, support business development and bid and proposal efforts for opportunities, bringing together capabilities across LMI to define a solution that meets and exceeds client expectations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- A strong customer-centric approach to executing projects
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), MSTeams and Sharepoint
- Ability to obtain USPS Public Trust Clearance
Preferred:
- Experience with USPS
- Experience with USPS facilities and real property related tools, process and databases
- USPS Public Trust holder
