Description

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Maintenance Program / Process Lead to work in our Maintenance department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our MFC facility with every Friday off. 

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in steering long-term maintenance objectives in alignment with INPO principles, specifically INPO 18-002 & 003. They will be responsible for leading the execution of the Maintenance Strategic Plan, evaluating departmental performance, and driving continuous improvement. Annual updates to the OMI strategy will be required, alongside capturing all actions not included in OMI within the Improvement Agenda. The candidate will also facilitate the development of new programs and coordinate cross-functional efforts to modernize and ensure mission readiness of assets. Additionally, they will assist in budget management, contribute to funding proposals, mentorship programs, and provide feedback on various maintenance operations, including compliance with Davis Bacon requirements and PM Program assessments, while acting as a delegate for senior maintenance management roles. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, schedule, and lead assessments. This includes providing guidance and direction to various personnel tasked to support the assessments. 
  • Identify risks that might jeopardize management system outcomes and develop assurance plans and schedules to ensure effective mitigation of those risks.
  • Provide analysis to key leaders to improve performance.
  • Interface directly with and providing work direction for safe and compliant completion of scheduled work activities related to operations, including following procedural requirements, instructions, and work control.
  • Ensure assigned personnel have the required training to perform their assigned work and are fit for duty, which includes resolving problems related to personnel, training, and schedule compliance.
  • Ensure non-operations personnel in the facilities, and/or involved in operational activities, conduct their activities in a formal and disciplined manner consistent with Conduct of Operations (ConOps) and management procedures.
  • Implement and support the continuous improvement of ConOps, ISMS, HPI, and VPP programs and procedures.
  • Maintain facility configuration within the safety basis. Identify hazards and their mitigation.
  • Provide input to and reviews of facility operating documents.  Maintain knowledge of facility systems, operating requirements, and administrative and safety limits.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build consensus by articulating the strategic alignment of the organization.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor-s Degree with nine – fourteen (9 - 14) years of relevant experience, or 
  • Masters-s Degree with six - eight (6 - 8) years of relevant experience, or 
  • Associate-s Degree and thirteen - eighteen (13 - 18) years of relevant experience, or 
  • High School Diploma with fifteen - twenty (15 - 20) years of relevant experience is required   


Relevant experience includes Management in at least one of the following: 

  • Maintenance 
  • Operations 
  • Leadership Development 
  • Organizational Leadership 
  • Construction 
  • Human Resources 
  • Nuclear Research 
  • Program management. 
  • Develop and write technical documents. 


Experience with INPO principles in conduct of maintenance and operations. 

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.  

Job Information: 

  • Salary 440 - (75,804 – 155,496) or 450 - (91,008 – 186,588). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
