Pay Range
$62,600.00-$86,000.00 AnnualThis is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
The purpose of the Maintenance Scheduler's role is to minimize total maintenance costs by maximizing maintenance work force efficiency and productivity through detailed planning and scheduling of work orders. This will involve taking ownership for overall system performance and driving proactive activities that result in sustainable improvements. This involves reviewing incoming work requests, scoping and prioritizing the jobs, developing the parts list, and staging the parts once onsite with job instructions for the maintenance crew. The MP is also responsible for managing contractors who are on-site working and for managing and tracking the repairs to the facility's mobile equipment fleet. This position will report to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager.
Your Day to Day:
- Generate, prioritize, and plan work for JM Maintenance and Contractors
- Estimate materials, time, and manpower requirements for all work requests
- Manage and schedule contractors for on-site work (includes job management, safety orientation, and compliance with company's contractor credentials policy)
- Provide daily work orders, guidance, direction, and supervision to designated maintenance personnel
- Maintain the work order backlog
- Facilitate weekly maintenance scheduling meeting and provide required Work Order reports
- Assist with managing work order system (MP2/SAP)
- Coordinate and manage mobile equipment rentals
- Evaluate data and downtime trends to ensure focus on high priority work
- Support safety programs and initiatives
- Manage and track repairs to the plant's mobile equipment fleet
- Assist with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment and process problems
- Develop maintenance work procedures for non-routine tasks
- Determination and acquisition of critical spares/setup in SAP
- Develop work instructions to ensure critical maintenance tasks are performed properly
- Assist with training of maintenance personnel related to critical task instructions
- Actively involve JM Maintenance team members in both planning and execution of priority work
- Create preventative maintenance procedures and optimize them to maximize uptime and minimize spend.
What You Bring to the Team:
- High school diploma
- 3 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Maintenance Planning/Scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Mechanical experience (general mechanics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, hydraulics, air compressor systems, A/C and Chiller systems, cutting and welding techniques, fluid dynamic systems, metal fabrication, mobile equipment repair, and the ability to understand and work with electrical and general industrial electrical systems.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Must include capability to develop spreadsheets from scratch utilizing formulas, conditional formatting, and filters to analyze data to drive cost reduction and improve reliability. In addition, ability to develop work instructions from scratch incorporating visual aids and clear instructions.
- Experience with mechanical and/or electrical drawings
- Experience with SAP/ERP system preferred
- Must be self-directed and highly detail-orientated
- Must be very organized with solid written and verbal communication
- Strong time/project management skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Must have 24/7 Availability to respond to any emergency situations outside of normal schedule
- Minimal travel required (0-10 days per year)
- Primary work environment is typical of an office setting. When in the manufacturing facility, may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.
- Ability to climb stairs, lift up to 50lbs, access confined spaces, respiratory fit, be exposed to hot and cold.
