Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing maintenance operations for the department. Plans, schedules and supervises maintenance activities to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Leads general maintenance mechanics and maintenance support workers.

  • Manages maintenance operations and leads a team of maintenance mechanics and maintenance support workers. Assigns tasks, ensures OPS plans are followed through in accordance guidelines, monitors performance and ensures safety protocols are adhered according to university safety protocols.
  • Assists in organizing and maintains equipment inventory to assist with daily operations. Request and verifies deliveries of equipment as needed.
  • Performs maintenance assessments/walkthroughs of parking garages and lots to identify maintenance issues. Coordinates operational staffing needs/schedules. Attends site meetings. Oversees proper disposal of materials and supplies.
  • Performs other related essential duties as directed by administration. The omission of specific duties does not preclude administration from assigning duties hat are logically related to the position.
  • Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, storms, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related experience; OR eight (8) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Salary: 

  • $48,000 - $55,000

Work Schedule:

  • Begin time: 2:00 PM
  • End time: `10:30 PM
