Pay Range
$42,600.00-$58,500.00 AnnualThis is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Johns Manville, a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium-quality insulation, commercial roofing, and engineered products is searching for a Manual Machinist to join the team in Tucson, AZ.
Day Shift M-Th, 4:30a-2:30p
What You Bring to the Team:
- A manual machinist must possess extensive knowledge of conventional machinery.
- The ability to set up machine tools and run first parts safely and accurately.
- Read and understand blueprints including geometric dimensioning.
- Can do basic shop math and use trigonometric equations.
- Capability of using a scientific calculator.
- Able to perform set-ups accurately and make special tooling when required.
- Has knowledge of proper use of all necessary measuring tools.
- Read and sign off on JSAs pertaining to your job assignments.
- Must follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to read and comprehend MSDSs and JSAs.
- Must be able to see and hear well enough to perform necessary machining or fabrication practices.
- Have the ability of lifting and moving heavy parts.
- Maintain machinery oil and coolant levels as required.
- Perform miscellaneous duties and be flexible and willing to assist in all other areas.
- Follow procedures on oil & chip disposal.
- Use safe working practices and maintain clean work area.
- Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to your immediate supervisor.
- Attends safety meetings and participates in scheduled safety talks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or a technical certificate
- Knowledge of SAP
Safety:
- Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be capable of performing repetitive tasks.
- Must have to ability to operate various hand tools including pneumatic, electrical, and manual.
- Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders throughout the workday.
- Ability to complete tasks associated with various hot works. Including the ability to wear necessary PPE to protect workers from such hot work hazards.
- Ability to wear steel-toe safety shoes for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment and wear hearing protection as required.
- Ability to work in a dusty environment and wear respiratory protection as required.
- Capable of using forklifts, cranes

You will work under the genera supervision of the shift supervisor, performing all machining to maximize productivity to maintain safety and quality standards. The Tucson, AZ plant is a full-service manufacturing and machining operation with highly skilled machinists and operators who specialize in high temperature alloys and proprietary parts for Johns Manville.
