About the role:

The Manufacturing Engineer, Paint will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our paint and coating operations, with a focus on process optimization, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of industrial painting processes, powder coating technologies, and critical paint line equipment, along with a proven track record of implementing process improvements and system.

What you will do:

  • Manage and optimize all painting and coating processes including liquid paint and powder coating applications. Perform detailed assessments and studies of paint line equipment including conveyors, powder spray booths, shot blasters, dust collectors, and ovens
  • Conduct regular safety assessments and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve paint quality issues and equipment malfunctions. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for paint equipment
  • Lead projects to revamp, modify, or redesign paint line configurations for improved efficiency. Evaluate new coating technologies, materials, and application methods
  • Analyze paint process metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Train and mentor technicians on proper operating procedures and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure coating requirements meet product specifications
  • Document processes, create standard operating procedures, and maintain technical records


When & Where:

Monday-Friday, 6 A.M to 4 P.M.; occasional Saturday work; up to10% travel; arrival and departure time are situational dependent and may change. Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.

What you need to have:

  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
  • Visionary Leader - Able to see the big picture, long-term strategic thinking, problem solving, and building standards
  • 7 -10 years of experience in industrial painting/coating operations. Comprehensive knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and materials
  • Demonstrated experience with paint line critical equipment (conveyors, spray booths, shot blasters, dust collectors, ovens), controls and PLC knowledge.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements that increase efficiency and quality
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and environmental regulations related to paint operations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies


What would be nice to have:

  • Certification in coating inspection or quality control
  • Experience with automated painting systems and robotics
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • Knowledge of color matching and formulation techniques
  • Experience with paint process simulation software
