Job Summary

  • Provides creative services to the BCTC community, provides leadership in video and photo projects, and assists with telling the BCTC story through creative design and digital communication. Reports to the Director of Marketing and Digital Strategies in the Office of Public Relations, Marketing, and Admissions

Job Duties:

1. Designs and creates marketing publications, advertising, promotional items, and other collateral.
2. Assists with design of digital marketing.
3. Creates video and photography promotion for departments, divisions, students, and administration: pre-production, production and editing.
4. Leads and coaches student interns and Multimedia Assistant work study students.
5. Handles photography and videography of college events.
6. Maintains college web-based image and video collections on Canva, Flickr and YouTube.
7. Ensures ADA compliance in all creative projects.
8. Coordinates and ensures brand consistency, accuracy and effectiveness of college-wide assets.
9. Promotes the college brand and volunteerism through co-leading theCREW program.
10. Assists with internal communication initiatives and execution.
11. Assists with special event planning and execution.
12. Provides marketing and design training to college community.
13. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a related field, and two years-related experience, or the equivalent. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a related field, and four years-related experience, or the equivalent.

    • Ability to handle job-related tasks with general direction, including identifying and solving problems
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a deadline-driven environment
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Creative Cloud Express, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat Pro, and Canva
    • Copywriting experience
    • Portrait and Event photography experience
    • Ability to function in a lead capacity over student workers
    • Personal and professional integrity
    • Commitment to the BCTC mission
