The Content andEducational Portfolio Strategy (CEPS) unit at the University of Illinois’ GiesCollege of Business supports management of our broad range of educationalproducts. CEPS conducts content and curriculum research both internally andexternally. Additionally, the unit explores and assesses new content andproduct opportunities, establishes and oversees partnerships with academicorganizations, including intermediaries and universities, and evaluatesresources necessary for the delivery, development, and maintenance of oureducational products. This work is seamlessly integrated with and supportsGies’ academic programs and departments and relies on collaboration withfaculty and other stakeholders.Job Summary
The Online Undergraduate Portfolio Senior Associate Manager will play a key role in shaping the future of online undergraduate business education at Gies College of Business. Manage strategic initiatives to expand access, enhance student success, and integrate at scale learning experiences across the portfolio of undergraduate online educational offerings including the Business Minor and Undergraduate Microcredential Certificates among others. Collaborating across academic and administrative units, this role will drive data-informed program improvements, influence implementation of cutting-edge teaching innovations, and build scalable student support systems to ensure a high-quality, engaging online experience.Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Management & Program Development
- Partner with the Academic Director of Undergraduate Programs to develop and execute a vision for next-generation online undergraduate business education at scale.
- Lead research on strategic innovations in online business education, evaluating their effectiveness across various student demographics, learning contexts, and delivery methods to inform program development.
- Collaborate with the Educational Portfolio Senior Associate Manager to explore and facilitate strategic pathways for seamless integration of stackable credentials and microcredentials within the curriculum.
- Partner with the Office of Undergraduate Programs to ensure strategic alignment, integration of policies, and an intentional undergraduate experience across modalities.
Student Experience, Support, & Success
- Develop data-informed strategies to improve student success, engagement, progression, and persistence across the student lifecycle at scale.
- Stay current on best practices to design scaled academic advising and student support services for online undergraduate students.
- Implement evidence-based strategies to build virtual community and enhance student sense of belonging.
- Investigate and address the unique needs of diverse learner populations to develop targeted career and experiential learning strategies in collaboration with Career and Professional Development, Academic Departments and faculty, and Academic Programs.
Teaching & Learning Innovation
- Support the Teaching & Learning team by researching and recommending evidence-based strategies for course design, delivery, and pedagogy across diverse learner populations, modalities, and disciplines.
- Collaborate with faculty and the Teaching & Learning team to implement and sustain teaching innovations and new educational technologies.
- Study and design scalable frameworks for student engagement and community-building across different modalities and programs.
Data & Assessment for Continuous Improvement
- Establish metrics, assessment frameworks, and KPIs to assess student success and program design and support effectiveness.
- Analyze student data to identify trends, inform strategy, and drive continuous improvement.
- With Data Strategy and Reporting, create clear reporting frameworks to communicate program impact to leadership and stakeholders.
Cross-Unit Collaboration & Institutional Engagement
- Build relationships with campus partners to expand opportunities and support services for online undergraduate students.
- Lead working groups focused on strategic priorities in online undergraduate education.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
Experience in higher education and scaled online program management.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience in research, project leadership, and program development within an online learning environment.

- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Service-oriented attitude working with faculty and stakeholders.

- Appreciation for and willingness to work within a complex organization.
- Working knowledge of the University of Illinois and Gies College of Business
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after close date. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience while also considering internal equity. The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,000 to $86,000.

Remote work options may be available for this position; however, must be available to be onsite at the University of Illinois Urbana campus based on operational needs.
