Job Title: Principal - Data and Application Architecture
The Purpose of this Role
Fidelity Workplace Investing (WI) is looking for an experienced Application Architect who will be a “Solutions Architect” which covers multiple products around data-in, data-conversion strategy for one of our key programs in Retirement platforms and record keeping space. Fidelity is working on building a next generation retirements platform which will scale to the needs and demands of our growing customer base. The Architect should have strong application architecture experience including application development from scratch, E2E application development and deployment, creating resilient applications, private and public API design and development including security, tokenization, certificates, SRE practices etc., The Architect should have all Azure skills related to application development, seasoned in building Highly performing distributed applications with a strong knowledge of Database services in Cloud that can perform with milli seconds latency.
You should have a very strong Financial Industry background specifically focused on Investing for Retirement in the US and European countries.

The Expertise You Have
Education – BS or MS required.
Azure Certified Cloud Expert is preferred
Experience architecting and designing scalable solutions, focused on real time & batch data consumption and distribution with high performance.
5+ years of experience in Azure Cloud Services building complex systems for large enterprise consumption with Billions of transactions.
Expertise in all Application Services in Azure including AKS, Azure Functions
10+ years of experience in Java, Application Architecture, Business Architecture
Technical leader with strong analytic skills able to define and drive our architecture and strategy.
The ability to apply technology innovations to business problems that help differentiate Fidelity as a leader in our industry.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS etc.,) is desirable, Certified in Architecture Frameworks like Togaf, Zachman or is good to have
Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
The Skills that are Key to this Role
Some one with Data Architecture experience specifically dealing with file processing at scale, data transformation dealing with different formats and varieties of data and processing them. Exposure to ETL tools are the skills which are key to this role
This is a solutions architect role covering multiple Squads on a very critical platform for record keeping that’s going through modernization. Managing multiple stakeholders, navigate across multiple product teams experience is a must.
Ability to influence stakeholders to onboard and work across teams spread across multiple regions is a requirement for the role.
Experience in one or more of the following technology areas: Public Cloud Architecture; Amazon Web Services; Azure Cloud Services; CI/CD Pipelines, TLM
Ability to work in a fast paced, highly matrix environment.
Excellent presentation, documentation, communication and influencing skills for working with business partners as well as technologists in IT leadership and implementation teams.
