Job Description:

The Fidelity Enterprise Infrastructure – Mainframe Database and Network Services team is seeking a Principal Systems Programmer to join our organization. This person will provide infrastructure support leadership for the mainframe Network Communications environment. Support includes Network and its subsystems, ACTVTAM, TCPIP, and CommServer in the operating environment of an IBM mainframe environment. A senior level candidate will have previous highly technical Network support experience, strong problem-solving skills, communication skills, organization skills, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced, production critical environment.

The Expertise we’re looking for

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a IT related field or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in z/OS Systems support, proficient with CommServer, VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP and CICS Web Services.

  • 8+ years of technical leadership

  • Advanced knowledge of mainframe communications (VTAM and TCPIP)

  • Knowledge of SMPE, Network monitoring (NetView, NetMaster), and command usage

  • Expertise with the following: z/OS, JCL, SMP/E, REXX, Control-M, SMTP, Sysplex Distributor, TN3270, ATTLS, sessions management, USS and zNFS.

The Purpose of your role

This position supports the provisioning and maintaining the mainframe network communications environment. This role is responsible for designing, customizing and implementing VTAM SNA and TCP/IP networks for critical system components, applications, and business partners.
